Oh, for a view of the ocean...

Although for some reason it does not feel that way, we are now living only about 700 meters from the Atlantic ocean. Our house is close to the infamous Armdale Rotary, situated on the North-West arm of the Halifax Bay (see the picture above). Maybe it's because you can't see the ocean from the house...A lot of Halifax suburbs are built on slopes facing inland, while much of the prime real estate, in terms of ocean views, are occupied by business, industry and the military. Meanwhile, the trees in Halifax have finally decided to display their exuberant autumn colours, but I have contracted a bad cold, and don't have the energy to go out and take pictures. Oh, well.
Hello, just popped in from SACanada. It will be interesting to follow your experiences! The beach on yesterday's picture is really beautiful. I did not know there were such places in Canada! It must surely be terribly cold though!
