First Snow
Saturday, December 10, 2005
Yes, it's snowing. We're having our first real snowstorm of the season, and Halifax is expected to receive between 20 and 30 cm of snow tonight. A little "weatherbomb", the meteorologist called it gleefully this morning. I just love it when it snows, and the snow is falling in large fluffy flakes like it's doing right now. Everything becomes whisper-quiet, and the light outside your window takes on a dreamlike quality, and you feel cut off from the outside, real world. Quiet, that is, except for the occasional car spinning out of control on the street outside...
