Dispatches from the sunburned wastelands

It's the season for overheated shopping malls. What's the reason for that? In summer, the malls are so chilly the sales people working there have to wear sweaters, but come winter time, and they turn up the heat so bad that you have to wear sunscreen. No wonder I've been getting so many colds lately (either because of that, or the people of Halifax just like spreading cold germs around). You walk around in the minus 14 chill outside, wearing your heavy coat , ear muffs and gloves, but the moment you step inside a shopping mall, the sweat begins to pour out of you, it's so hot. Haven't they ever heard about energy efficiency and global warming? Crazy, I say.
