Cafe culture

The Cheapside Cafe, housed in the wonderful Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, is a great place for a cup of coffee after seeing the sights within the museum. The funky little cafe also does a mean Brunch on Sundays, and I do believe the price of Brunch is reduced when you show your admission ticket to the gallery. The Cheapside Cafe is one of several eating establishments owned by a former Scandinavian family (they also own Sweet Basil Bistro and Saege restaurant, amongst others).

In the meantime, our search for the best breakfast in Halifax continues. Last Saturday we breaked our fast at Seasons Bistro, inside the Holiday Inn that's situated on the busy corner of the Robie and Quinpool intersection. We were hoping for a vast breakfast buffet (we associated this with the Holiday Inns back in SA), but unfortunately, apart from the great view over the Halifax Commons, nothing good can be said about the experience (yes, Shelly, the Fredericton Delta's breakfast still rules!). We will continue our quest...
