Dispatches from the sunburned wastelands

It seems that the Political Commissar, appointed to NASA by the Bush administration to censor pro-climate change scientific comment from leading NASA climate scientists, has suddenly resigned:

George C. Deutsch, the young presidential appointee at NASA who told public affairs workers to limit reporters' access to a top climate scientist and told a Web designer to add the word "theory" at every mention of the Big Bang, resigned yesterday, agency officials said.

It appears that he may have falsified his credentials a bit...But this probably wouldn't have mattered to the White House anyway, seeing as how the Bush Administration cannot seem be able to distinguish between theory, fact and mythology...
