Dispatches from the sunburned wastelands

I've sold my mini hifi, and been trying to sell the Volvo, but it's slow going - I advertised in all the New Brunswick papers for the last week, but so far I only got calls from "window-shoppers" (and one dealer from Moncton who offered me next to nothing). I've also put up my old Pentax SLR camera up for sale - it's quite good, if you're still into film cameras...

We received our escape-from-Canada itinerary late last night: We fly from Halifax to London (air canada - argh!) on Wednesday night, and then from London to Johannesburg (British Airways - jay!). We only get a couple of days to say Hi to family and friends, and then it's onward to Australia on August 5th, I think, courtesy of Quantas (I've never flown with them before)...I think they want Hannelie to start work on August the 7th. We're going to be jet-lagged for weeks...
