Good news

We visited the village of Bowral on Friday, where the little monster's orthopaedic surgeon gave the thumbs-up to his feet's response to the surgery. We almost didn't make it on time, because we got snagged in a traffic jam just off the highway, somewhere between dungtown and buggerup. Small towns shouldn't have traffic jams, in my opinion...But this close to Sydney, every little backroad turns to a parking lot during rush-hour. Now we know.
Afterwards, on our way back to Canberra, we made a detour to the little hamlet of Berrima (pop. 400), a cutesy tourist trap which we shared with two tour buses filled with Japanese tourist (and their cameras). It's just close enough to Sydney to sustain the Crabtree & Evelyn shop, numerous art galleries and several "ye olde pubbe" eataries. And a working, sandstone gaol. Must be filled with yuppie-prisoners...
We sure get around, seeing places we would never normally visit, courtesy of little baby's feet...
so no more braces?
Braces still have to stay on for 23 hours/day for the next 3 months, and then down to 12 hours a day for several years. :(
But it will be worth it, one day when he climbs Mt. Everest...
12 hrs a day isn't too bad... nightime counts right?
