On the beach...

We had a good trip - the orthopaedic surgeon was satisfied with Martin's progress, which was great news. Afterwards we drove down to the coast through the extremely picturesque Kangaroo Valley, where all the Sydney gentry have their summer homes and keep their thoroughbred horses, or something to that effect. The so-called Princes Highway (if you can call a one-lane back-road a highway - gee, I sound like Bil Bryson) took us further down the south coast of New south Wales to the isolated (no cell phone reception!) Mystery Bay, where we rented a cottage for the week.
We had wonderful views, and because there are only six cottages on the property, it was very private and quiet, except for the noisy, but beautiful parrots. We also had access to a private beach, only 500 meters from the cottage - although it was far too cold to spend too much time there. Maybe next time...
Master Martin was a bit grumpy the first few days (see pic above), on account of his normal routine being disturbed (takes after his mother), but eventually settled down.
Apart from relaxing, we also drove to the nearby village of Tilba, a national heritage site. The village is almost too pretty to describe, although it is mostly a tourist trap nowadays. Still, wish I could live there...
Glad to hear the little feet got the thumbs up. He's got great cheeks, that little baby.
It's funny about talipes babies, the rest of them seem to grow by the day (especially the cheeks and the tummy), but the feet stays tiny
Nice pictures Hannes! That little town is beautiful.
Martin is beautiful too btw. :)
