Dispatches from the sunburned wastelands

Today is my birthday (no, I won't tell you how old...very old, based on how I feel right now). I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself right now, Mrs B has gone to Hobart (Tasmania) for a conference, so no hugs and kisses for me today...Baby Martin also threw a screaming fit when I tried to dress him after his bath earlier tonight - not a hug from that one either. Even at work today, where even the casual staff usually gets congratulated with yummy birthday cake, there wasn't a single happy birthday. Maybe it's a sign?
