And still it rains

Another wet weekend. Sigh. This is starting to get on my nerves - what good is it living in Halifax when you can't be outside enjoying Nova Scotia, especially at this time of year? I want to be driving around the apple orchards of the Annapolis Valley, or hiking through the fiery red autumn blueberry fields of Oxford, or viewing the magnificent, multi-hued display of foliage in the Wentworth Valley. Instead, I'm stuck inside, watching storm after storm lashing the scraggy hills of Halifax...Once upon a time, (it seems like such a long time ago), when I was living in Bloemfontein, a city on the edge of the Karoo desert, deep in the interior of South Africa, I wished it would rain more often. Now, I wish the rain would stop...How things change.
