Dispatches from the sunburned wastelands

After the torrential downpour we experienced over the previous couple of days, the sun finally , but shyly showed its face this afternoon. Some places in southern New Brunswick received more than 100 mm of rain - highly unusual for this time of year. And, this being the wilderness called New Brunswick, the greenery only needed a wee bit of sunshine to go completely bonkers, and suddenly it looks like a tropical jungle outside. One of the drawbacks of all this humidity, and of living right next to a river, is the little buzzie biting things that are currently sharing my accommodations with me...

Nothing to report on the Australia VS Canada situation yet, I'm afraid. We're still waiting to get back some more info from Australia, while on this side things are moving at a snail's pace...Oh yes, and it seems as if our very expensively acquired police clearance & marriage certificates have been lost in transit from South Africa....It never rains, hey.
