Dispatches from the sunburned wastelands

I'm trying to switch off my NB Power service here in Gagetown, making use of their super-duper electronic service system. Today I get an e-mail back, informing me that my "request for dealing with your overdue account", can not be processed until Tuesday...Idiots...And then I made the mistake of trying to register my Fredericton PO Box as a forwarding address for my Gagetown mail, with the same dismal result..."It must work, try it again", the helpful post office service rep e-mails back (as if I am a moron)...Are we cursed or what?
