Dispatches from the sunburned wastelands

The farce about so-called action to stop global warming by western governments continues...Over at Shelly's blog, she reports that the recently installed Conservative Canadian government is busy ignoring the Kyoto Protocol, signed by their predecessors, and has set 2050 as their new target date for reducing greenhouse emission...To 2003 levels! I am flabbergasted, and speechless. How do you respond to such insanity?

Oh yes, and by the way, did I ever mention that it was a certain Mr. John Howard that acted as advisor to the Canadian Conservatives during their election campaign?
