The meaning of life

Friday, December 15, 2006

Yesterday's interview went well, I guess, all things considered. It certainly gave me some insights into the Australian interview process (although none of the three interviewers were born in Australia, with one even being born in Newfoundland). Anyway, they gave me lot of food for thought, especially about the meaning of my life, and where I would want to go from here (figuratively speaking). I would probably be happier going to work for something like the World-Wide Fund for Nature, but until that happens, we have to get food on our table, somehow. I think I'm pragmatic enough not to let my "ideals" (or other fuzzy concepts) stand in the way of a roof over our heads, although I think I might draw the line at working for the military, of course.

In the meantime, as the terrible bushfires still rage over large parts of Victoria and Tasmania, meteorologists from the WMO are warning that,as a result of climate change, Australia in particular is facing more than a 'mere' drought.

Newfies are everywhere. We secretly rule the world... you know that right?

There is no such thing as 'climate change'. Those terms do not exist.
I think Canada has Big Brother syndrome.
