Snow for Christmas
Sunday, December 24, 2006
A most appropriate Christmas gift has been given to the state of Victoria, which has been battling the worst bush fire in living memory. Falling temperatures and rain have dampened the blaze, allowing many firefighters time off for Christmas, but that's not all - snow has been forecast for the state's alpine regions on Christmas day...(Maybe we'll even get some of the cooler weather here in Canberra). Peculiar weather indeed.
And, in other news, I have just been offered a job...It's entry-level GIS work, and I'm not exactly sure what I'll be doing there, but it's a start, and a wonderful Christmas present.
And, finally, a very beautiful Christmas to everybody (still) reading the blog, and I wish you all a joyous day, filled with family and friends and good cooking, and maybe even some snow.
Congrats on getting the job Hannes.
Merry Christmas to the three of you :)
Congratulations with the job! Very happy for you. Merry Christmas to you...and there's no snow in Halifax!
Thought I'd let you know, Sehne and Vicky had a little boy on Dec 18.
Congratulations on the Job! that's fantastic! I hope all three of you had a great Christmas.
And there's no snow in Fredericton or Moncton either. On christmas eve i was walking outside without even a coat on.
Yay! Congrats for job, and potential snow, and impending addition to Botha family of course!
