Dispatches from the sunburned wastelands

Greetings. Things are a bit hectic right now, because all our worldly possessions have finally arrived (hooray), and I am writing this surrounded by oodles of boxes, filled with stuff I haven't seen for five years (umm, mostly books...). Also, I will be starting work on the 16th of January. Part-time at first, with longer hours once the baby arrives. Wish me luck.
