I'm not sleeping under a tree anymore

I received my first paycheck yesterday, whoo-hoo! Maybe it will cover the rent for a few weeks (did I tell you how expensive rental accommodation is here in Canberra? The median rental for a small house/apartment is $320/week) . I have been gainfully employed for a few weeks now, and people started asking me why I didn't write anything about my new job...Well, first of all, I only work there two days a week at this stage. It's sort of a casual-temporary-paternity-leave kind of thing, until the end of February, when I'll presumably be on a more regular sleeping schedule (hollow laughter from other more experienced dads). Anyway, I made a huge mistake during the job interview - I told my would-be colleagues about this blog...I didn't give them the address or anything, but clever people that they are, they quickly found it. And, apparently, some of them didn't find the contents amusing. That's why I won't be writing too much about work...
It's unfortunate that you are being judged by the contents of your blog. People just laugh at me when they read my blog.
Maybe you should write under a nome de plume.
