Going on an adventure

We're taking the little monster to Sydney today, to have a little procedure done on his feet at the Sydney Children's Hospital. This will be our first major adventure since he was born...It will also be the first time we've been to Sydney, and I'm a bit apprehensive after hearing all the accounts of the traffic nightmares that regularly occur in that city. We'll be there for a couple of days, and then pick up the mother-in-law at Sydney airport on Saturday for a three week stay. Hopefully we all survive the trip...and her stay.
Hi, I saw your post about the GIS position. Do you still have this position? I've been looking into getting into the GIS field . . . any advice?
Advice on getting into the GIS field: Take a course; Learn how to program in Visual Basic and or Python; also learn SQL; I'm not sure what Aus has for learning institutions, but I do know that the University of Melbourne has a world class Geomatics program. If you aren't in Aus and 'happen' to be in Canada, then go to COGS in Nova Scotia or UNB in Fredericton New Brunswick has a world class geomatics program that rivals Melbourne. (I'm at UNB....) :)
Hey Hannes, now that mummy is there you can just throw Jr. at her when he starts crying. You won't want her to leave!!

It's about time for a new post Hannes
