Short Sci-Fi
Friday, October 27, 2006
My favourite magazine, Wired (horrendously expensive in Aus, boo-hoo) asked several well-known authors to each write a sci-fi (ish) short story in only six words...You can go and look at the results here. Neil Gaiman, Ursula Le Guin, Ben Bova and even William Shatner all made contributions, but I think the best one is:
Machine. Unexpectedly, I'd invented a time - Alan Moore
My personal favorite:
"Tick, tock, tick, tock, tick, tick"
Trust Neal Stephenson to come up with something so clever, geeky and loaded with meaning :-)
Here's one I just made up.
"Wanted! New posting in CyberWorld blog."
