Spring is regarded by many Canberrans as their favourite season, and here's one of the (many) reasons why: Floriade is in full bloom again. I visited the festival on Sunday. Too many people for my liking, but it was a glorious day.




Of course, many hayfever-sufferers in Canberra hate Spring...

It's raining in Canberra (hallelujah). This afternoon the western skies turned dark, but not the dark blue-grey one would normally associate with thunder storms, no, the skies turned a menacing red. A sign that the farmers in the western outback have been busy with their spring ploughing...One hopes. Not signs of the apocalypse. They haven't started bombarding particles in the Hadron collider yet. And Sara Palin's not vice-president. Yet.

He's in running mode at the moment - never walks, always runs. Usually with one of us behind him. But, in rare moments like these, don't you just want to love him to bits?
