Dispatches from the sunburned wastelands

Yesterday we drove around the countryside outside Canberra (although some people might say that you can do that without ever leaving Canberra), just playing round with this vague idea that, if we had to settle here permanently (and it certainly starts to look like we might be here for a while), it might be a good idea to provide the LM with the same kind or rural upbringing that both his parents enjoyed. We did spot some lovely little towns not too far away (Sutton, Gundaroo, Murrambateman), and started dreaming about a little house somewhere out there...until I checked the land prices on the web last night...jeesh, these people are crazy....
